The purpose of the study - an analysis of the market of salt in the CIS countries.

The object of the study is technical salt, as well as brine obtained by chemical and potash companies. All data on the production of brines are given in terms of solid product.

This work is a desk study. As sources of information, data from Rosstat, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, official statistics of rail transportation of the Russian Federation, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Statistics, the SSC of Ukraine; data from the UNdata database, the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, as well as the websites of salt producers.

Chronological framework of the study: 2012-2019; the forecast is 2020-2025.

Geography of research: Russian Federation, Ukraine, CIS countries.

The review consists of 9 parts, contains 96 pages, including 53 tables, 17 figures and 2 annexes.

The first chapter gives a brief description of salt deposits in the CIS countries.

The second chapter presents the qualitative characteristics of the technical salt in the CIS.

The third chapter is devoted to the extraction and production of technical table salt in the CIS and Russia in 2008-2019.

The fourth chapter describes the main Russian manufacturers of technical salt.

The fifth chapter of the section describes foreign trade operations with technical table salt in Russia for the period 2012-2019. The statistical data on the volumes of foreign trade operations, the regional structure of exports and imports of technical sodium chloride are given.

The sixth chapter provides a price analysis of the Russian technical salt market, including the prices depending on the purpose of the product being studied, export-import prices in 2012-2019.

In the seventh chapter, the balance of production-consumption of technical salt in the Russian Federation is given, the consumption structure is considered, the main branches of technical salt consumption are described.

The eighth chapter is devoted to the technical salt market from other CIS countries and Ukraine. The volumes of salt extraction, production and consumption of technical salt are presented, the structure of technical salt consumption is presented.

The ninth chapter provides a forecast of the development of the market of technical table salt in the Russian Federation / CIS for the period up to 2025.

The appendices provide a list of enterprises engaged in salt extraction in the CIS countries and in Ukraine; a map of the location of the largest salt deposits in the CIS is presented.

Target audience of the study:

- participants of the salt market - producers, consumers, traders;
