This review is the ninth edition of the chlorine market research in Russia, the EAEU countries and the world.
Market monitoring has been carried out since 1997.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the chlorine market in Russia and the EAEU/CIS countries.
The object of study is chlorine (in gaseous and liquid form).
The work presented is a desk research. Data from the statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan) were used as sources of information; UN international databases (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); railway transport statistics; VLSI databases; annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; industry and regional press, conference materials, Internet sites of manufacturing enterprises and consumers of the products under study; scientific and technical literature (elibrary, etc.), FIPS patent database; InfoMine database, etc.
A distinctive feature of this study is a detailed description of the chlorine market (liquid and gaseous) in Russia; in addition, in-plant consumption of chlorine was studied in detail. A brief description of the global chlorine market and the markets of the EAEU countries is also given.
Chronological scope of the study: 1997-2023; forecast – 2024-2030
Geography of the study: Russian Federation - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market, the world, the EAEU countries and the world - a brief retrospective analysis.
The review consists of 7 chapters, contains 113 pages, including 39 tables, 33 figures and 2 appendices.
The first chapter of the review provides a brief description of the global chlorine market.
The second chapter provides information about existing technologies for the production of chlorine, their features, the raw materials required for production, their quality and supplies to chlorine producers in Russia and the EAEU.
The third chapter of the review is devoted to an analysis of chlorine production in Russia and other EAEU countries. This chapter presents the requirements of existing regulatory and technical documentation for the quality of chlorine, the production capacity of the chemical under study, provides statistics on the production of these products by country and enterprise in 1997-2023, evaluates the regional structure of production in the Russian Federation, and describes the main producers of chlorine.
The fourth chapter analyzes foreign trade operations with chlorine in the Russian Federation and other EAEU countries. Data on the volumes of exports and imports are provided, the regional structure of supplies is assessed, and data on the volumes of chlorine supplies by exporters and importers of these products are provided.
The fifth chapter provides information on the price level for chlorine on the domestic Russian market, and also analyzes data on changes in export-import prices for chlorine in recent years in the Russian Federation and other EAEU countries.
The sixth chapter of the review presents the balance of production and consumption of chlorine in Russia and the EAEU, evaluates the industrial structure of consumption of the products under study, describes the main industries and enterprises consuming chlorine, and analyzes the factors determining the demand for products in the domestic market of the Russian Federation.
The seventh chapter is devoted to the forecast for the development of the chlorine market in Russia for the period until 2030.
The appendices provide in-plant consumption of chlorine by manufacturing enterprises in the Russian Federation and contact information for communication with chlorine producers in Russia and the EAEU.
Target audience of the study:
- chlorine market participants – producers, consumers, traders;
- potential investors.
The proposed study purports to be a reference guide for marketing services and specialists working in the chlorine market.
