The market has been monitored since 1997.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the chlorine market in the CIS.

The object of research is chlorine (in gaseous and liquid form).

The presented work is a desk study. The sources of information were the databases of the CIS Goskomstat, the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (FSGS of the Russian Federation), the official statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation, and the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (FCS of the Russian Federation). The materials of the UN database (UNdata), industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, Internet sites of chlorine producers and consumers, as well as the "InfoMine" database were also used.

Chronological scope of the study: 1997-2020; forecast - 2021-2030

Geography of the study: Russian Federation - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market, Ukraine and the CIS countries - a brief retrospective analysis.

The review consists of 7 chapters, contains 112 pages, including 42 tables, 35 figures and 2 appendices.

The first chapter of the review provides a brief description of the global chlorine market.

The second chapter provides information on the existing technologies for the production of chlorine, their features, raw materials required for production, their quality and supplies to chlorine producers.

The third chapter of the review is devoted to the analysis of chlorine production in the CIS. This chapter contains the requirements of the existing regulatory and technical documentation for the quality of chlorine, provides statistics on the production of these products by country in 1997-2020, assesses the regional structure of production, describes the main producers of chlorine.

The fourth chapter analyzes foreign trade operations with chlorine in the Russian Federation, Ukraine and the CIS countries. The data on the volumes of export and import are given, the regional structure of supplies is estimated, data on the volumes of supplies of chlorine by exporters and importers of these products are given.

The fifth chapter provides information on the level of prices for chlorine in the domestic Russian market, as well as analyzes data on changes in export-import prices for chlorine in recent years in the Russian Federation, Ukraine and the CIS countries.

In the sixth chapter of the review, the balance of production and consumption of chlorine in Russia and Ukraine is given, the sectoral structure of consumption of the studied products is assessed, the main industries and enterprises-consumers of chlorine are described, the factors that determine the demand for products in the domestic markets are analyzed.

The seventh chapter is devoted to forecasting the development of the chlorine market in Russia for the period up to 2030.

In the appendices, the in-plant consumption of chlorine by manufacturing enterprises in the Russian Federation and contact information for communication with chlorine producers in the CIS countries are given.
