This report is the third edition of the study of the carbamide market in Russia, the CIS countries and the world.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the markets for carbamide, Russian, CIS countries and forecast its development.
The object of study is carbamide grades A and B.
This work is a desk study. The databases of the UN (UNdate), the Statistical Committees of the CIS countries (including Rosstat, the SSC of Ukraine, the Agency on Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan), customs statistics of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, official statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation were used as sources of information; materials of industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, websites of sulfur producers and consumers, as well as the Infomine database.
Timeframe of the study: 1997-2021, estimate 2022, forecast - 2023-2030.
Research geography: Russian Federation - comprehensive detailed market analysis; CIS countries and the world - a general retrospective analysis of the market.
The report consists of 7 parts, contains 185 pages, including 62 tables, 47 figures and 2 appendices.
The first chapter of the report provides a brief description of the global urea market in 2005-2021. Production capacities, trade demand for carbamide and world prices are given.
The second chapter of the report provides information about the raw materials required for the production of urea, its characteristics. Also in this chapter, the technology for the production of urea is considered in detail. In addition, data are given on the main suppliers of raw materials, directions and volumes of supplies, methods of transportation and storage.
The third chapter of the report is devoted to the production of carbamide in Russia and the CIS countries. The chapter provides statistical and estimated data on the output of urea in Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries. In addition, the quality indicators of the products obtained are given. This chapter also describes the current state of urea producers in Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries, describes new projects for the production of carbamide.
The fourth chapter of the report provides data on foreign trade operations with carbamide in Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries for the period 1999-2021.
The fifth chapter provides information on the level of prices for carbamide in the domestic Russian market in 2000-2022. The chapter also analyzes data on changes in export-import prices for urea in Russia and Ukraine from 1999 to 2021.
The sixth chapter of the report examines the consumption of carbamide in Russia and the CIS countries. This section presents the production-demand balances of these products, the sectoral structure of consumption, describes the current state of the main industries consuming urea, shows the main consumers and the current state and development prospects of the largest consumer enterprises.
The seventh chapter of the report provides a forecast for the development of the Russian urea market for the period up to 2030.
The appendix contains the addresses and contact information of enterprises producing carbamide in Russia and the CIS countries. The addresses and contact information of the main urea consumer enterprises in Russia are also given.
Target audience of the study:
- ammonium nitrate market participants - producers, consumers, traders;
- potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference tool for marketing services and decision makers working in the mineral fertilizer market.
