This review is the fifth edition of the market research of continuous basalt fiber (BCF) and reinforcing materials and products from it in the CIS.
The purpose of the research is to analyze the market of continuous basalt fiber and reinforcing materials and products from it in the CIS.
The object of research is continuous basalt fiber, as well as reinforcing materials and products based on it.
Chronological framework of the study: 2007-2019, forecast - 2020-2025.
Geography of research: Russia - a comprehensive detailed analysis, other CIS countries and the world market - a brief description.
This work is mainly a "desk" study. The sources of information were the data of the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (FSGS of the Russian Federation), statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the Customs Committee of Ukraine.
Also, data from the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, websites of enterprises producing continuous basalt fiber and reinforcing products based on it were involved.
In the course of telephone interviews, representatives of companies producing continuous basalt fiber, as well as reinforcing products from it, provided invaluable assistance in preparing this review.
A distinctive feature of this work from other marketing research presented on the Russian market is a wider time frame - Infomine has been monitoring the continuous basalt fiber market since 2007, as well as the geographical breadth of the study - the review provides an analysis of the BNF market not only in Russia , but also the CIS countries, a brief analysis of the world market is also provided.
Separately, we note that the forecast for the development of the continuous basalt fiber market for the period up to 2020, made by Infomine experts in 2016, was realized with an error of 4-6%, which indicates a high professional level of the work performed.
The report consists of 9 chapters, contains 183 pages, 75 tables, 23 figures and an Appendix.
The first chapter provides general information about continuous basalt fiber (BCF), the history of its creation and production technology, physical and chemical properties, its fields of application, comparison with the closest material to it - glass fiber. This chapter also describes the main technologies for processing continuous basalt fiber.
The second chapter contains brief data on the world BCF market and its development prospects.
The third chapter is devoted to the production of continuous basalt fiber in the CIS. It contains data on the volumes and dynamics of BCF production, as well as information on the main producers of continuous basalt fiber and materials based on it, with a description of the main types of products.
The fourth chapter provides a description of the BCF products market with a detailed description of each of its segments: basalt-plastic reinforcement and composite flexible ties, basalt reinforcing mesh.
The fifth chapter provides additional information on dispersed reinforcement with basalt fiber. According to the experts of InfoMine LLC, without this chapter, consideration of the market for reinforcing products and materials from BCF would not be complete.
The sixth chapter provides data on foreign economic operations with materials and products based on continuous basalt fiber in Russia and Ukraine in 2007-2019.
The seventh chapter analyzes the data on average export and import prices for BCF and materials based on it in 2007-2019. In addition, an analysis of prices in the domestic market of Russia for basalt-plastic reinforcement and similar fiberglass products is presented.
The eighth chapter provides data on the dynamics of production and consumption of continuous basalt fiber in Russia in 2010-2019.
In the final, ninth chapter, a forecast for the development of the BCF and basalt-plastic rebar market for the period up to 2025 is given.
The Appendix contains contact information for producers of continuous basalt fiber and reinforcing products based on it in the CIS.
