This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report is the ninth edition of a market survey for steel grinding balls and equipment for their production in Russia and the CIS.

The market has been monitored since 1999.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the market for steel grinding balls and equipment used for their production.

The object of research is steel grinding bodies used for grinding in ball mills.

This review is the most complete among those presented on the information market on this topic, and claims to be a reference manual replacing Rosstat data, since not all enterprises producing grinding balls report on the volume of production of the products under study. In addition, the main partner of the Russian Federation in the trade of grinding balls is Kazakhstan, with which we enter into a single customs space (the transportation procedure is simplified, and there is no customs clearance as such). The data of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation on export-import between our countries do not coincide with the data of the Customs Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Rail transport statistics also do not reflect the real situation, since there is delivery by road.

The use of Rosstat data without additional thorough analysis can lead to the adoption of erroneous management decisions by marketing services and specialists working in the market for this type of rental.

At present, this is the only work on grinding balls in the CIS on the market of marketing research.

A distinctive feature of this report is the breadth of the geographical and time frame - a detailed analysis of production and foreign economic operations with grinding balls not only in Russia, but also in the CIS countries has been carried out.

This work is a desk study. The sources of information were data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), the official statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (FCS RF), the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Statistics, the State Statistics Committee of the CIS, databases UNComtrade data, Infomine database. It also involved data from the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, websites of manufacturers and consumers of steel grinding bodies. Due to the fact that in Russia cargo transportation by road is not subject to mandatory statistical accounting, this report provides only data on transportation carried out by rail. In conclusion, certain questions were clarified in the course of telephone interviews with participants in the Russian steel grinding balls market.

Chronological scope of the study: 1998-2021; forecast - up to 2030

Geography of research: Russian Federation - comprehensive detailed analysis of the market; Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan - general market analysis, other CIS countries - brief description.

Research volume: the report consists of 7 parts, contains 290 pages, including 101 tables, 59 figures, 9 appendices.

The first chapter of the report provides an overview of the production technology and quality requirements for steel grinding balls produced in Russia.

The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of the production of steel grinding balls in Russia in 1998-2021. (2021 forecast). The section provides data on the volume of production of steel grinding balls in Russia during this period, traces the dynamics of production, gives the regional structure of production. The chapter also examines the current state of the main producers of steel balls in the Russian Federation. Provides data on the production technology and equipment used, the range and quality of products, production volumes, plans for the development of enterprises, as well as detailed data on the volumes and directions of product supplies for 2002-2021.

This chapter also briefly discusses the situation on the market for steel grinding balls in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan.

The third chapter of the report is devoted to the analysis of Russia's foreign trade operations with steel grinding balls in 1998-2021. (2021 forecast).

The fourth chapter examines the export-import supplies of steel grinding balls to other CIS countries in 2005-2020.

The fifth chapter is devoted to the analysis of prices for steel grinding balls in Russia. This section shows the prices of the main manufacturers of products on the domestic market in 2005-2021. In addition, the analysis of export-import prices for the period 1999-2021 was carried out. with a breakdown by suppliers and consumers.

The sixth chapter examines the consumption of steel grinding balls in Russia in 1999-2021. This section shows the balance of production and consumption of these products. In addition, this chapter describes the main consuming industries (iron ore, mining of non-ferrous metals, gold mining, cement and energy), and provides a description of the largest consumers of steel grinding balls in Russia, plans for their development, as well as a detailed structure of supplies to these enterprises of steel grinding balls. ...

The final, seventh chapter of the report provides a forecast of production and consumption of steel grinding balls in Russia until 2030.

The address book contains information about manufacturers of steel grinding balls (Appendix 1), as well as large Russian consumers in the iron ore industry, nonferrous metallurgy, gold mining, cement, energy industries (Appendix 2).

Appendix 3 contains information on the supply of equipment for the production of balls by LLC Firm "ShPS" to metallurgical enterprises in Russia, the CIS countries and the world.

Appendices 4-9 contain information on railroad deliveries of grinding balls in 2007-2017. at GOKs for the extraction of ores of ferrous, non-ferrous metals and gold, mineral raw materials, at enterprises of the construction industry and energy.

Target audience of the study:

- market participants for steel grinding bodies - manufacturers, consumers, traders;

- potential investors.

The proposed study claims to be a reference tool for marketing services and decision-makers working in the grinding balls market.
