This report is the first publication of coal market research in China and India.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the coal market in China and India to understand the market situation in these countries and the prospects of Russia as an exporter of coal.
The object of study are energy and coking coals.
Work is desk study. As sources of information, data were used by the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, IEA Coal Information 2018, IEA Coal Market Report 2018; IHS Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, (Australia); “Metal Expert”, statistics on railway transportation of the Russian Federation, BP Energy Outlook, UN bases.
Chronological scope of the study: 2010-2019; forecast for the period until 2030
Geography of study: China and India.
The report consists of 2 parts, each of which has 8 chapters, contains 38 pages, including 13 figures and 14 tables.
The first chapter describes the coal market in China, presents the volume of consumption and the structure of coal use (2016-2018). The main import flows of China's steam and coking coal, including from Russia (by companies), are also shown. The main factors affecting the Chinese coal market are identified.
The second chapter gives a description of the coal market in India, presents the volume of consumption and the structure of coal use (2016-2018). The main import flows of India's steam and coking coal, including from Russia (by companies), are also shown. The main factors affecting the Indian coal market are identified.
The target audience of the study:
- coal market participants - producers, consumers, suppliers, exporters;
- potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference tool for marketing services and management decision-makers working in the coal market.
