This report is the first edition of a business portrait of a mineral fertilizer manufacturer: KAO Azot (Kemerovo).
The purpose of the study is a comprehensive analysis of the raw material supply, existing capacities and production, sales volumes and sales prices of mineral fertilizers produced by JSC Azot on the domestic market of the Russian Federation and outside the country, as well as the financial condition of the enterprise and its ownership structure.
The object of the study is the Kemerovo joint-stock company (KJSC) "Azot".
This work is a desk research. Rosstat data were used as information sources; Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); international trade (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); Unified information system in the field of procurement; railway transport statistics; VLSI databases; industry and regional press, conference materials, websites of JSC GC Azot and JSC Azot; scientific and technical literature (elibrary, etc.), FIPS patent database; Infomine database, etc.
Chronological scope of the study: 2018-2022, as well as the first half (January-June) of 2023.
Geography of the study: sales markets for the products of JSC Azot (Russian Federation and countries purchasing mineral fertilizers produced by the plant).
The report consists of 10 parts, contains 35 pages, including 11 figures, 23 tables and 1 appendix.
The first chapter provides information about the history of the creation and development of the enterprise, describes its current state and place in the mineral fertilizer industry of the Russian Federation.
The second chapter presents the existing capacities at KAO Azot for the production of mineral fertilizers, raw materials and caprolactam; A review of the existing equipment at the plant was carried out.
The third chapter summarizes information about the main types of raw materials used by the enterprise in the production of mineral fertilizers; data is provided on the largest suppliers of raw materials and the volumes of products they send.
The fourth chapter is devoted to an analysis of the production of mineral fertilizers and ammonia by JSC Azot; The structure of output by type of product in 2022 is presented.
The fifth chapter analyzes foreign trade operations with the products manufactured by the plant in the period 2018-2022. and the first half of 2023. Data on the volumes of exports of mineral fertilizers and ammonia is disclosed, and the geographical and product structure of their supplies is presented.
The sixth chapter provides information on the volume of supplies of fertilizers and ammonia produced by JSC Azot to the Russian market and their main recipients.
The seventh chapter analyzes average export prices for mineral fertilizers in 2018-2022. and the first half of 2023 in the context of the largest recipient countries, as well as the main sales bases at the end of 2022.
The eighth chapter is devoted to the sales prices of fertilizers produced by JSC Azot on the domestic market of the Russian Federation; The maximum price level recorded by the plant for the period 2021-2023 is presented.
The ninth chapter presents the main financial indicators of the enterprise’s activities in 2018-2022.
The tenth and final chapter presents the ownership structure of KAO Azot and its assets.
The appendix provides contact information for the company.
