This report is the 2nd edition of the market research of strontium and its compounds in the CIS.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the market for strontium and its compounds.
The objects of investigation are strontium compounds (mainly strontium carbonate) and metallic strontium.
This paper is a desk study. As sources of information, data from the Federal Service of State Statistics of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (FCS of the Russian Federation), customs statistics and statistics of rail transportation, UN database, USGS, Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Goskomstat of the Republic of Belarus, Tajikistan.
The data of the sectoral and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, Internet sites were also attracted; The InfoMine database was used; Materials of scientific and technical conferences.
The main chronological scope of the study: 2004-2016 (separate data since 1997); Forecast - until 2025.
Geography of the research: Russia and CIS.
Scope of the research: the report consists of 6 parts, contains 42 pages, including 17 tables, 8 figures, 2 annexes.
The first chapter presents a description of the world market for strontium - mineral reserves, production by major countries, price dynamics, main consumption areas. The volumes of export and import of strontium carbonate by the leading supplier countries are also shown.
In the second chapter, the mineral raw material base of strontium in the CIS, mainly in Russia and Tajikistan, is considered; the reserves of the main strontium deposits are shown.
The third chapter is devoted to the production of strontium in the CIS, and the characteristics of enterprises that have / had facilities for the production of strontium-containing products are given.
The fourth chapter is devoted to the analysis of foreign trade operations of Russia and other CIS countries with strontium and its compounds in 2004-2016. Information is provided on the directions of supplies, the main exporters and importers of the products in question.
The fifth chapter considers the use of strontium in Russia, presents the dynamics and structure of consumption, describes the main enterprises-consumers of strontium-containing products.
The final, sixth chapter of the review provides a forecast for the development of the strontium market until 2025.
Appendix 1 shows the characteristics of strontium products IGMZ.
Appendix 2 contains addresses and contact information of the main participants of the strontium market in Russia.
