This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report is the fifth edition of the ferrochrome market research in Russia, Kazakhstan and the world.

Market monitoring has been carried out since 1995.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the ferrochrome market in the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the world.

The object of study is ferrochrome.

The work presented is a desk research. The databases used as information sources were UNdata, Statistical Committees of the CIS countries (including Rosstat, State Statistics Service of Ukraine, Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan), customs statistics of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, official statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation; the “Mosaic” database (2022), materials from the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, Internet sites of manufacturing enterprises and consumers of chrome raw materials, as well as the “Infomine” database.

Chronological scope of the study: 1995-2023; forecast – 2024-2030

Geography of the study: Russian Federation, Republic of Kazakhstan (detailed analysis), other countries (foreign trade volumes).

The report consists of 8 parts, contains 121 pages, including 33 tables, 41 figures and 2 appendices.

The first chapter of the report provides data on the development of the global market for chrome raw materials in 2001-2023. Information about the leading producers of chrome raw materials is analyzed, information is presented on the production volumes of commercial chrome raw materials, the directions and volumes of foreign trade in this type of raw material, as well as the price level.

The situation on the global ferrochrome market is analyzed. Data is presented on global production of stainless steels for the period up to 2023, on the volume of China's imports of high-carbon ferrochrome from individual countries, world exports and imports of high-carbon ferrochrome.

The second chapter of the report is devoted to the analysis of raw materials for the production of ferrochrome, production technology and quality of ferrochrome in the CIS.

The third chapter of the report presents data on ferrochrome production in the CIS in 1995-2023.

The fourth chapter of the study analyzes the status of the main ferrochrome producers in Russia and Kazakhstan in 1995-2023.

The fifth chapter of the report contains an analysis of the export and import of ferrochrome in the CIS. Data on the volumes of export and import of ferrochrome from Russia and Kazakhstan are presented. The main directions of Russian ferrochrome exports by region and individual countries are shown. The export of ferrochrome from Kazakhstan to individual countries is analyzed, and the import of ferrochrome by other CIS countries is also shown.

The sixth chapter of the report provides information on prices for ferrochrome in Russia, as well as Russian export-import prices for ferrochrome in 2010-2023.

The seventh chapter of the report is devoted to the analysis of ferrochrome consumption in Russia, the balance of production and consumption of ferrochrome in the Russian Federation in 1998-2023 is given, and the main sectors of ferrochrome consumption in the Russian Federation are considered.

The eighth and final chapter of the report presents a forecast for ferrochrome production in the CIS for the period up to 2030.

The appendices provide the addresses and contact information of the main manufacturing companies and consumers of chrome raw materials and ferrochrome.

Target audience of the study:

- participants in the ferrochrome and chrome raw materials market – producers, consumers, traders;

- potential investors.

The proposed study claims to be a reference guide for marketing services and specialists making management decisions working in the market of chrome raw materials.
