This report is the second edition of a study of the polycarbonate market globally and in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the polycarbonate market in Russia, the EAEU countries (which, in addition to Russia, include Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan), and the global market for this product.
The object of the study is polycarbonate, which is a complex polyester of carbonic acid and dihydric phenols or alcohols with the general formula (–O–R–O–CO–)n.
This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international databases of the UN (UNdata), World Bank, and Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); the Unified Information System in Procurement; rail transportation statistics; the SBIS database; and foreign specialized companies; Annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; industry and regional press, conference materials, websites of companies manufacturing and consuming the products under study; scientific and technical literature (e.g., elibrary), the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) patent database; the InfoMine database, etc.
Research timeframe: 2015-2024; estimated 2025; forecast 2026-2030.
Research geography: Russia – comprehensive, detailed market analysis; global and EAEU countries – general retrospective market analysis.
The report consists of 7 parts and contains 96 pages, including 25 figures, 27 tables, and 2 appendices.
Chapter one is devoted to the global polycarbonate market. This section presents data on capacity, international trade in this product, sales prices, consumption, and development prospects for the global polycarbonate market.
Chapter two presents information on the polycarbonate production technologies used in the industry, production capacity in Russia, and the main raw materials used for its production.
Chapter three analyzes polycarbonate production in Russia. It presents product quality requirements, traces production dynamics, and provides data on production volumes from 2015 to 2025. Leading manufacturers and their current status are described.

Chapter six is devoted to polycarbonate consumption in Russia. This section presents the production and consumption balance of the products under study, presents the structure of their application in Russia, examines the main areas of polycarbonate use, and describes the largest enterprise consumers of this product.
The seventh and final chapter is devoted to the forecast for polycarbonate production and consumption in Russia through 2030.
The appendices provide contact information for Russian polycarbonate manufacturers, as well as the largest consumers of this product who process third-party products.
