This report is the fourth edition of a study of the finished stainless steel market in Russia in 2010-2023.
Market monitoring has been carried out since 1995.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the market for finished rolled products made of stainless steel in Russia in 2010-2023.
The object of study is finished rolled stainless steel.
The work presented is a desk research. Data from the statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus) were used as sources of information; UN international databases (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); Unified information system in the field of procurement; railway transport statistics; VLSI databases; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; industry and regional press, conference materials, Internet sites of manufacturing enterprises and consumers of the products under study; scientific and technical literature (elibrary, etc.), FIPS patent database; database of “Infomine” and Internet sites of manufacturing enterprises and consumers of finished stainless steel products.
Chronological scope of the study: 2010-2023; forecast – 2024-2035
Geography of the study: Russian Federation, other countries (stainless steel production volumes, foreign trade, price trends).
The report consists of 7 parts, contains 112 pages, including 41 tables, 31 figures and 1 appendix.
The first chapter of the report provides data on the properties, composition and grades of stainless steels, technology for smelting stainless steels, the main range of flat and long products, and raw materials for the production of stainless steels.
The second chapter of the report is devoted to an analysis of the situation on the global stainless steel market. Data on stainless steel production in individual regions and countries of the world over time (2010-2023), information on plans for the construction of new capacities by individual companies, and an analysis of global trade in finished stainless steel products are presented.
The third chapter of the report analyzes the situation with steel smelting and the production of finished stainless steel products in Russia and its apparent consumption. Data is presented on the leading Russian companies that produce stainless steel.
The fourth chapter of the study analyzes Russia's foreign trade in finished stainless steel products, including long and flat products in 2014-2023.
The fifth chapter of the report presents data on price trends in the Russian stainless steel market. Data on the level of export and import prices for finished stainless steel products are analyzed and data on changes in the price level for flat products on the world market in 2019-2023 are presented.
The sixth chapter of the report analyzes the consumption of finished rolled products from stainless steel in Russia in 2010-2023, including the balance of consumption of flat and long rolled products. The structure of consumption of finished rolled products from stainless steel is presented by industry and region, information about its main importers.
The seventh chapter is devoted to the forecast of production and consumption of finished steel in Russia for the period up to 2035.
The appendix provides addresses and contact information about market participants in finished stainless steel products.
