This report is the second edition of the market research of scrap and waste of ferrous metals in Russia.

The purpose of research - analysis of the market of scrap and waste of ferrous metals Russia in 2007-2014 and forecast of its development in the long term. A special feature of this report is a detailed analysis of consumption and workpiece scrap in the production of ferrous metals in Russia. In this paper we evaluated the workpiece scrap in Russia as a whole and for individual federal districts, analyzed inter-regional supply of ferrous scrap railway transportation. In addition, in the assessed consumption of ferrous scrap leading metallurgical enterprises of the country.

Object of research are waste and scrap of ferrous metals.

This work is a desk research. As information sources, we used data of Federal Service of State Statistics of Russia (Rosstat), statistics of rail transportation, the Federal Customs Service of Russia; UN database, the database "InfoMine". Also, data of sectoral and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, web-sites of metallurgical enterprises of Russia.

Chronological framework of the study: 2007-2014; forecast - up to 2030.

Geography Research: Russia.

The report consists of 6 Sections, contains 172 pages, including 66 Tables, 52 Figures and Appendix.

The first chapter is devoted to the analysis of the overall situation in the Russian market of ferrous scrap, the description of methodology for assessing consumption and scrap workpiece. The chapter presented a trade balance of the Russian market of ferrous scrap in 2007-2014, give an estimate of the blank scrap in the country in the period under review, the characteristics of some of the leading companies in Russia in the blank scrap.

The second chapter analyzes the regional pattern of consumption of ferrous scrap Russian steel production as well as consumption of scrap on the major steel mills of the country. Analyzed the consumption of scrap steel at issue in the methods of its production. The estimation of the consumption of scrap and waste of ferrous metals in the production of steel leading metallurgical enterprises.

The third chapter is devoted to analysis of the regional balance of "blank-scrap consumption” in Russia in 2007-2014, including in the Central Federal District, Northwestern Federal District, Volga Federal District, UFO, SFO, DFO, SFD and North Caucasus Federal District. When calculating the blanks of ferrous scrap in the regional plan took into account the consumption of scrap in the production of ferrous metals, the estimation of exports and imports, the formation of scrap enterprises in the production of steel and steel products, metal izmemeniya stocks in warehouses.

The fourth chapter describes the situation with the seasonality of supply of ferrous scrap consumers in the domestic market and price changes.

In the fifth chapter of the study analyzes the foreign trade in scrap 2007-2014 years. Russia is a major supplier of scrap to the world market, importing small amounts of this raw material. In chapter analyzes shipments of scrap, the main markets and the level of export prices.

In the sixth chapter presents forecast of consumption of ferrous scrap in Russia in the production of iron and steel for the period up to 2030

The Appendix presents contact information on the leading market players and scrap iron and steel enterprises.

The target audience of the research:

- Market participants of ferrous scrap collectors and suppliers of metals: scrap and waste metal, traders, smelters;

- Potential investors.

The proposed study claims the role of reference for marketing services and professionals to make managerial decisions, working in this market.
