This work is a desk study. As information sources , data of Federal Service of State Statistics (Rosstat), Federal Customs Service of Russia, Ukraine's GTS , the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus NSC , Commercial UN base (UNData), Databases "InfoMine". Also, data of sectoral and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, web-sites of company-producers of optical cables , as well as e-mails and telephone interviews with market participants.
The chronological scope of the study: 1995-2013, outlook - 2014-2020 period.
Study geography: Russian Federation - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market ; CIS general state of affairs .
Volume of research: report consists of 7 Sections, contains 166 pages, including 66 tables, 34 figures and 5 applications.
The first chapter describes the main characteristics, production technology and common areas of application of optical cable. This chapter describes the main types of fiber optic cable to be classified according to their purpose and methods of laying. The main firms - suppliers of optical fiber in Russia. This chapter also describes the main stage production of optical cable to Russian enterprises.
In the second chapter investigated the production of fiber-optic cables in Russia and the CIS in 2000-2013. Describes the current status of major factories - manufacturers of optical cable, nomenclature and volumes of their products for years 2003-2013, the dynamics of the volume and the rate of production of optical cable for the last 5 years , as well as provides financial performance of major plants for 2007-2013.
The third chapter examines the foreign trade operations with optical cable CIS for 2003-2013 years. The analysis of dynamics of export -import supplies of fiber-optic cable in monetary terms. Are detailed directions of supplies, data on the main exporters and importers of optical cable in Russia and in the CIS in 2007-2013.
