This report is the seventh edition of the study of the antimony and its compounds market in Russia and the EAEU/CIS countries.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the antimony and its compounds market.
The object of the study is antimony ores and concentrates, antimony trioxide, and metallic antimony.
This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from the statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international UN databases (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); the Unified Information System in the Sphere of Procurement; railway transportation statistics; the SBIS database; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities; industry and regional press, conference materials, websites of manufacturing companies and consumers of the products under study; scientific and technical literature (elibrary, etc.), the FIPS patent database; the InfoMine database, etc.
The chronological scope of the study: 1997-2024; forecast - up to 2030.
Research geography: Russia - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market; the EAEU/CIS countries (including Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine) - a general retrospective analysis of the market; the rest of the world - general information on the dynamics and characteristics of the market.
Research volume: the report consists of 7 parts, contains 102 pages, including 38 tables, 37 figures and 1 appendix.
The first chapter of the report is devoted to a brief description of the world antimony market, data on world antimony reserves, production of antimony in concentrates, main producing and consuming countries, as well as world prices for antimony in 2000-2024 are provided. Particular attention is paid to export-import operations of countries of the world with antimony concentrates, antimony trioxide and metallic antimony.
The second chapter of the report describes in detail the mineral resource base of antimony in the EAEU/CIS (Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan), provides data on reserves and main deposits.
The third chapter presents data on the extraction and processing of antimony raw materials with the production of commercial products. This section presents the dynamics of antimony production in concentrate and commercial antimony products in the EAEU/CIS (1994-2024), provides characteristics of antimony product production technologies and quality requirements. In addition, it describes the main enterprises producing antimony concentrates and commercial antimony in the EAEU/CIS countries (Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan). It also provides characteristics of new projects aimed at the production of antimony products by CIS enterprises.
The fourth chapter is devoted to foreign trade operations (2001-2024) with antimony products (concentrate, antimony trioxide, metallic antimony) of Russia and the EAEU/CIS countries (Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus).
The fifth chapter analyzes export-import prices for the products under consideration, and also provides current prices for commercial antimony products on the Russian market.
The sixth chapter describes the consumption of antimony and its compounds in Russia. This chapter provides the dynamics of antimony consumption in Russia (2001-2024), data on the structure of antimony consumption (including secondary metal), and consumers of the products under consideration.
The final, seventh chapter describes the current trends in the development of the antimony and its compounds market in the EAEU/CIS and provides a forecast for antimony production by the EAEU/CIS countries for the period up to 2025.
The appendix provides addresses and contact information for enterprises producing antimony products.
The target audience of the study:
- antimony market participants - manufacturers, consumers, traders;
- potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference guide for marketing departments and decision-makers working in the antimony products market.
