This review is the ninth edition of the study of the railway solid-rolled wheels market in the Russian Federation, the EAEU and the world.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the railway solid-rolled wheels market in the Russian Federation, the EAEU and the world.
The object of the study is railway solid-rolled wheels.
The chronological framework of the study: 2000-2024, forecast - 2025-2030.
Geography of the study: Russia - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market, other EAEU countries - a general retrospective analysis of the market, the world market - a brief description.
This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from the statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia); international databases of the UN (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); Unified Information System in the Sphere of Procurement; Railway Transportation Statistics; SBIS Database; Foreign Specialized Companies; Annual and Quarterly Reports of Issuers of Securities; Industry and Regional Press, Conference Materials, Internet Sites of Enterprises-Manufacturers and Consumers of the Products under Study; Scientific and Technical Literature (Elibrary, etc.), FIPS Patent Database; InfoMine Database, etc.
The report consists of 7 chapters and contains 138 pages, including 33 tables, 29 figures and 4 appendices.
The first chapter provides a brief description of the world market for railway wheels.
The second chapter describes the production technology of solid-rolled railway wheels and sets out the main requirements for their quality.
The third chapter is devoted to the production of solid-rolled railway wheels in the EAEU. It provides a description of the current status of railway wheel manufacturers in the EAEU, provides data on the types of products manufactured, dynamics and volumes of production in the period 2000-2024.
The fourth chapter examines Russia's foreign trade operations with railway wheels in 2002-2024. This chapter analyzes data on the volumes and directions of foreign trade operations, identifies the main suppliers and recipients of products.
The fifth chapter provides information on the dynamics of prices for railway wheels on the domestic market of Russia in 2000-2024, and also analyzes data on export-import prices for these products in Russia (2003-2024).
The sixth chapter is devoted to the consumption of solid-rolled railway wheels in Russia, it provides production and consumption balances, analyzes the wagon-building industry and the wagon repair services market, identifies the main consumers of railway wheels, and estimates the volumes of consumption by these enterprises.
The seventh chapter provides a forecast for the production and consumption of railway wheel products up to 2030.
The appendices to the report provide archival data on the supply of railway wheels up to 2011, technical characteristics of solid-rolled wheels manufactured in the Russian Federation, as well as contact information for manufacturers and the largest consumers of solid-rolled railway wheels in the Russian Federation.
